Has your work changed as a result of the pandemic? 如果你 have a corporate desk job, the answer may very well be no. While where you do your work has changed, the nature of your work has not. You are still focused on the same projects.
Think back to your pre-pandemic work life. 如果你 were to group your day into categories, how much was truly spent in person with your coworkers? For many people, it was very little.
How are their children doing? How is the pandemic impacting them from day to day? When is the last time you had lunch with someone you work with?
It’s tricky. Start 通过 being honest. 如果你 have a preexisting condition that makes you high risk for COVID complications, you may want to consider sharing it. Normally, I would never advise to share private health details with your boss. But, it may help them to understand why you need to continue to work from home.
The same applies for family situations. 如果你 have aging parents who you help to care for, share your concerns. 如果你 are being forced to home school your children, be up front about it. And, if your spouse has a high risk job where they work with the public, share your concerns about possibly infecting your office if you were to become infected.
Set expectations around how you will communicate. 如果你 plan to check email during certain hours, let them know.
“Labor Day is a holiday that honors the American labor movement. It celebrates the development, productivity, and prosperity of the United States. And, it marks the unofficial end of summer. 如果你’re like most Americans, Labor Day is spent with loved ones and tasty food.”
In the meantime, begin to think about how you would like to celebrate this time next year. 如果你 would like to celebrate with a new job, this is the time to start looking. If the pandemic has made you realize you wish you were closer to loved ones, this is the time to make a plan.
如果你 want to move, look for jobs in your future city. Or, begin to look for jobs that allow remote work. Working from home is giving employees the flexibility they need to choose the lifestyle that works the best for them.
如果你 find yourself with extra time, this is also a great time to network. Even when jobs aren’发布后,您可以与将来可能想要雇用您(或帮助您)的人联系。
I haven’t. Very little. Like many of you, I’一直在工作,并通过这种意外和困难的经历进行管理。
唐’t get me wrong.
唐’t get me wrong.
它’s not because they’没有足够的努力或他们没有’小心。
